Blank Pages :S

Hi

I am new to both SMF and TP.  I had just installed SMF on my webserver and was looking through the mods section on the SMF site and found TP, so i thought i'd come and check it out.  It looked really good so i decided to give it ago.

Now, after the TP installation, i get ALOT of completely blank pages.  Here is a quick list of the pages the are coming up blank:

• admin
• pm
• search
• help
• topic

not being an expert it would seem that a lot of your files have not been uploaded, try and upload them again by ftp see if that helps
in your Sources/ there should be Help.php and Search.php

Yes, check the files through FTP, they are probably not uploaded or extracted correct, file permissions set wrong or even zero byte (0) files.
What you can do is to upload the files manually one by one from the manual install package and that way see if they get uploaded correct.
The manual install package you find in the download section here, extract the files on your local PC and then upload them manually

Thanks for the replies.  I uploaded all the files again but I am still getting the same problem

Have you checked the files so they have the correct permissions set, and that they dont turn up as 0 byte files ?

I have just tried the 2 files by uploading blank files to my test site, and all I get is errors

One more thing for you to try is to run the db update again for TP.
As we get the download file from the location your errors are from, it's usually the DB that are set wrong or missing some thing.

If all the files are correct, download the database install only file from the download section, upload it to your forum root, and point your browser to the file

hmm, i just looked through all my files, i have no 0 byte files.  What are the permissions supposed to be?  I also tried doing the database update, that didnt work either :S

The permissions most of the time will work from 644, some files that needs to have acces to uploads with more have the permission set to be from 755/777

This will be my last try for you, Now you have managed the DB update, you have uploaded all the new fresh files from the manual package, off for the last post i can think off right now.

Download the file, extract the zip, upload the files ( backup the old first before you replace them) and refresh the forum and see it it works this time

both files are chmod (permissions) to 644 on my server
