If they use verified payPal like Bloc here and me on my site, the transfer is just as safe as any payment with a visa card.
But to answer your question, there is no other way to donate money to Bloc or TinyPortal  :-\
Now that you have said that, let me ask you a simple question. Wouldn't it be good to have a mailing address in a PO Box so that people who are not able to send money with a Visa Card or any credit card be something that could be placed into a donation area? Not everyone in the world has credit cards, and I am sure that they too would send money if that option was available to them. Of course I understand about security, but in my eyes, and deep in my heart, I know for a fact that people would send money if there were more options, there is always western union too.

Im not sure about other contries, but here in Sweden you need to have a company in order to have a PO box  :-\
The Swedish gouverment got tired of the blackend people that didnt exist other in a PO box so they closed them for all exept registerd comanies with licenses  :-\

There is something called ECheck that you can send through paypal, that way you dont need a creditcard.. I cant really give more info at the moment, so try a search on ECheck and PayPal and see how it works.
If you find info, please post it here, it can be good to know in the future :)

Bloc could do like SMF does and have charter members.. lol... ;)
Its free but charter members get advance releases and more things..

I would pay. Love how it eaisly converts smf from forums into a CMS...

WOW!
Bloc wouldn't do that!

I think it should be a voluntary thing about TP,

If you have a web site that is not making money, then its hards to justify spending money on a web site, which would also prevent you from putting up a web site or at least a good web site in the first place.

On the other hand if you do generate money from your web site then I think a donation for the tools that help you make that money is only fair.

Robert, if you are verified with Pay Pal, which means they have your checking account number and routing number, then the money is drafted directly from your checking account.  They do however ask for a backup payment option such as a credit/debit card, but I am not certain it is required.
