All articles will display on the frontpage if you tell them to, no matter which category you put them in. Category is for archiving basically. You can create a link to a category in a menu or something and people can see all the articles in that category.

I do think you're beginning to understand. :)

yep, understanding a little at a time - it is so late - am heading off to sleep. When choosing the "Both forum and articles - sorted on date" option for the Frontpage, I can see better how it all works. The articles excerpt comes along quite nicely.

Only thing is that I have been using Frontpage Blocks and had created a manual Directory in a html block there which I will lose. No way to do the FrontPage blocks and articles at the same time? Note that I only wanted the Directory for the first page so Center blocks will not work.

You'll have many more options in the upcoming release 0.9x

You can pretty much place a block where you want.

Which begs the question ... when will version 0.9x be released?? (I know that Bloc wants to get the translations in before releasing it but does he have a projected date that he wants all the translations in by??)

G6Cad

The translations we wanted yesterday..
And the next release is out when you can see it announced in the mail or here at the news and update board ;)

There will never be any date on any releases from TP, thats the thing with free development, it takes the time needed and no rush until it's done :)

I know, I know ... but I've got the club chairman bugging me over the fact that our club website doesn't really advertise us properly.

It's frustrating as I want to produce a brilliant frontpage similar to Bloc's and I'm just getting so impatient ... :coolsmiley:

(BTW Hi everyone, I'm back and posting again!!!)

All we can say is that Bloc has given hopefully the last test install of 0.95. If the bug fixes turn out easier than he thinks it won't be long.

Hiya IchBinâââ,¬Å¾Ã,¢, good to see ya again ... and Crip, and G6 and all the gang.

Thanks for the information as I'm looking forward to this new release. From the roadmap it looks like it will add a load of functionality that will improve our club website no end.

Yes, Bloc have made a greate deal of new things for us to use.
A lot of article changes and layout for them, same on blocks, also a lot of work have been done with the editors (2 implented) a third one as an addon so you can have 3 diffrent editors to choose from :)

The article section and the layout for it will be the biggest change of all :)
