Add WoW Realm Status on Frontpage

twas something stupid I was overlooking... got it fixed...  but if I make it try to load images it wont load the forums...  but I can get the text version...

thats what I got with the info php file...

says if the png and gd support say yes then it should work...


so...  guessing something wrong with gd library then???

Some added script dont work as it should, Check the files added or code added by you and see if you find whats wrong.

Also if you are having problems with the graphical version of this little applet, there is also an option you can set to make it use text only. thts what I did as it fits better with my site design. (You can customize how it displays the text easily enough as well.)

OK, i got a bit further, but either a) the xml isn't parsing or b) it's not writing to the file wowss/wowss_data.txt

I don't get an error, but it looks more like a problem with the original developer than the snippet for TP

I've been toying with this too...

It all works fine except it won't pull the data needed, and I can't figure out why.

All it will say is "no status source"

That is weird, I only had that happen once ever, and it was more or less when the servers we down and the wow realm site was being hit about a million times with everybody checking...



The none graphical version works fine with mine.  I moved it about and finally got it where I want it...


as for the no source problem... make sure your link is correct, maybe it is being directed inccorectly or something...  but I really dont know... did you try using other realms as well to see if it is a problem with that realm???

How do you run the gd_php.php or where do you get it from?


What dir do the files need to be put in exactly to work. I have it in public_html/smf/Themes/TP_WoW-DK/images/ with the wowss and wowserverstatus.php being underneath this.

I created an html box on my forums and inserted this in:
<center><img alt="WoW Server Status" src="wowserverstatus.php" /></center>

Do I have to show correct path name for the img tag, or do I have to move the folder and file to another directory?  I believe I added everything I need in the wowserverstatus.php file.  Also, do I not need wowss base image file and gd_info_php?

As it is right now, I get a red x for where the picture should be.

If anyone could help me on this, I would appreciate it.

If you get a red x on the image, right click and choose properties and it will show you where you need to put the images.

Actually... I tried to install that several weeks ago, but the realm status page on WOW is gone and I believe they took their feed online so we can no longer use it.  I have gone to many other web sites that have been running it and it was dead on all of them.

I hope I am wrong about this, but you may be kicking a dead horse.

I think I may be wrong.. I am seeing signs of life..  I am off to tinker...

Two hours later now.. I give up.  I can get the text option to work on many servers, but some with an " ' " in it will not work.. I can not access the Sen'jin server but I can Azgalor.  Stil the graphics part is jacked up and fails no matter what I try.
