In the attached images you'll see that when I was trying to get the RSS working on my site I created an article category called 'test'.

It's not doing any harm sitting there but I want to delete it and cannot find a way to do that. I have been into the database to look in the tp-settings table but it doesn't show there.

If anyone goes to the Articles/Categories page it creates the errors as attached.

Could you tell me how to remove the 'test' category please?

@rjen

In the page with Article Categories there is a Red Cross to the right : that will delete the category

Hi @rjen,

There is obviously something wrong with my install somewhere because both the mobile and desktop doesn't show the red crosses in either.

I had version 3.0.1 before 3.0.2 and before that 2.2.1 and 2.3.1, does that help?

You're on the articles page, not the categories page.

Click TinyPortal admin and then click the categories icon.

I've managed to delete it Mick through the database, but whenever I go to the 'Categories' page I get the errors as I posted in the first post. It happens with the SMF default curve so it's not theme related

UPDATE:

I have just installed TP 3.0.2 on a fresh SMF2.1.6 install and the error happens in that also. I have also reduced the PHP from 8.3 to 8.0 and the error is still there.

This isn't a big deal as I'm not using that part of the portal but I thought you guys should know abut it

@rjen

I suspect there is something wrong with the article categories in the TinyPortal table.

This does not happen normally, and I have never seen this. Also does not happen in a clean install for me.

I started from scratch @rjen so I cannot understand why it would give that error. I'll uninstall 3.0.2 and install 3.0.1 on the test site ensuring that all the tables and files are gone and see if it happens with that.

I installed 3.0.1 on the same test site and the same error happens, but when I install 3.0.0 it doesn't, so something in the later versions are causing it.

I'll leave it with you guyys

@rjen

Well, since we do not have the issue it will be hard to solve.

@rjen

Looking at your screenshots I noticed that you deleted ALL articles. This is a situation that does not happen very often. After I removed every single article in my test forum I managed to reproduce the issue..

It is a bug
