Well I thought maybe you had it nailed but I already had that enabled.  Now what?

MGT_STC007, do you ahve all language files you are going to use uploaded?

SMF checks the folder Themes/default/languages for any index.xxx.php files and display them as the actual language options.

Well I just extracted the files for 086 German into that folder and I still see nothing coming up.

Yes, TP language..but do you ahve the SMF german language files for example? It won't do with only TP ones, since SMF searches exclusively for index.xxx.php to determine if its "installed"..

As usuall the master himselfe solve the matter. 
I should have thought about that, i have made some tranlations now.. both SMF and for TP
