I have installed SMF2 RC4 and doesnt have any mods installed, only TinyPortal 1.0 RC1. I follow instruction and found a file in Load.php is missing:
// Start the linktree off empty..
$context['linktree'] = array();

Also I didnt removed it before. How can we solve the problem?

EDIT: Nvm.. I found resolve myself. Now all files are edit and moving tinyportal files to root document but... forum wont load :( I dont know what I do wrong something?

IchBin

The files do not go in the root directory. If you look at the folder structure inside the mod for your version of SMF you will see that TP puts the files in the Sources folder as well as the Themes/default folder.

Kozley

Thank you for fast reply. I have already upload files to Sources and Themes/default. As it says:
Move the included directory "SMF2RC4/Themes" to "the root directory".
Move the included directory "common/Themes" to "the root directory".
Move the included directory "SMF2RC4/Sources" to "the root directory".
Move the included directory "common/tp-downloads" to "the root directory".
Move the included directory "common/tp-images" to "the root directory".
Move the included directory "SMF2RC2/tp-files" to "the root directory".

I know I did move files to rigth location but it say not lucky to get forum works again.

Well I don't know what you have done either. Without being able to see what you have done I don't have any way to figure your problem out. Why did you have to install manually?

If I install at the package manager I get parser error:

SMF2RC4/tinyportal200rc4.mod Modification parse error

I have created folder named temp and chmodded to 777. It just still not working.

EDIT: I took a look on error log and found 18 error and they are to tinyportal

Subs-Package.php - both fclose and fopen problem, failed to open stream: Permission denied, expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given

It sounds like folder Sources are not writeble, can it be problem?

IchBin

Try creating a directory in the Packages folder name tinyportal, and uploading all the files into that folder. Then go in to the package manager in SMF and see if it will install.

Kozley

Okay, I do what you say. I can see it show but same problem when I try to install. I have set Sources to be writeble but it wont help.

Installation successfully! I was found a great topic by Lopez:

- Make a temp directory in /smf_home_dir/Packages/ , set permissions to 777
- upload the mod files (extracted!) to a directory in /smf_home_dir/Packages/ (i.e. : "mod"), set directory AND files permissions to 777
- upload the same files to /smf_home_dir/Packages/temp/ , set permissions to 777 on all files

There you can see Temp, files should upload there as well then it works. Thanks for help with installation problem!

Now I cant find any portal setting in the administration panel and portal menu isnt show!

EDIT: I took a look in my ftp server and all tinyportal files have not uploaded there. Should I upload manually?

IchBin

Sounds like your server configuration is preventing mods from installing properly. I'd suggest you follow the manual install instructions from the mod page at SMF. Upload all the TP files to the proper directory. All the theme files go in the Themes/ directory. All the Sources files go in the Sources/ directory. Do not upload the SMF2RC4 directory, only what is inside it.
