tp_install.php - Hacking Attempt?

One thing I did notice when I had this problem, was the hacking attempt message doesn't get displayed until near the end of the tp_install.php file.

By the time the hacking attempt message gets displayed, most of the database updates have been done. I put echo statements into the file to see where the error was being generated, and I think it was when SSI.php got called that the error occurred.
There is no direct code in tp_install.php to display the hacking attempt message, so it has to be generated by an external file.
