Where has the "article box" or "sigle article" choice gone in the menus, when you want to define a new block? I can't call an article in a block.

G6Cad

It was removed from the list but will be back in the next release.
And the next time you post, can you please start your own topic and follow our postinguide we have  :)

OK thanks, so does that mean that until then, it is NOT possible to call an article in a  bloc, without having ti actually paste the code in the box? This is a serious "downgrade" of an essential funtion!
My forum, and all the ads and articles I had prepared, are now...messed up. I can't use them.. Its 'a shame.

bloc

The plan was to convert the article-block into a block code snippet instead. But as it turned out the feature was being more used than anticipated so the block-type will return.

But why are you showing a whole article inside a block when there is both HTML and PHP type of blocks doing the same thing? articles by definition is bigger texts displayed in the content area - if you are outputting a lot of articles solely as blocks it not really efficient as it requires extra calls to just get the articles into the blocks. In comparison all blocks used are fetched in just one call.

NickJNSM

Hmmm. Well my idea was to have blocks at a fixed position, and contextual, to display diffrent ads by section/board (each ad in a php article), without having to hard code every bloc. It worked OK even if the user interface of Tiny is awful, kinda sovietic... ;-)

Try and read back some in the bugtracker and you will see that it's bugs.
They will be fixed in the next release of tp

When is the next version of TP coming out?

If the fix is known why can't we get the fix to apply to our existing sites? Waiting for the next release could be a very long time and this is a very critical thing I believe for general functionality.

Btw I tried this with all my blocks disabled and it still did not work.

If all your panels are turned off, then that is an entirely different issue. You should probably go through the manual TP install and make sure all the edits to files are done, and all the files are in place. If that doesn't work, you need to start your own topic.

Psychoboy

This is my own topic. And yes All panels and blocks are off and I have verified the install multiple times even with the default theme and all packages off.

I didn't mean to say your own topic. I meant to say to start another topic for a different issue.
