Missing text in tp admin panel

I've started a new thread, at ZTNs request as the symptoms appear similar as in this thread, but the language doesn't appear to be an issue. The language is set to English with no option for utf-8. The install of tp was done via the package manager

The only other thing I notice is the arrow (right upper below header) to collapse the tp left side bar shows as an asterisk .

Any thoughts?

Looks like your missing some image files....

Lang strings missing have been fixed in an upcoming version.(soon, very soon).

The same install done as a test on a shared server worked fine.

Does that change anything?

The page is a guide, all the files will be found in the files section ( top menu "files" )

But the easiest way would just be to change to English in Admin/Configuration/Server Settings/

It's already set to English.

I'd prefer not to convert to utf.

I've been reading a bunch of the threads here and it was suggested by IchBin^tm in another thread that it might be an internal server setting. I think he might be right as the exact same install works fine on a shared server.

We did have some permission issues that we worked out (I think), as we were able to do an install via the package manger.

If you are running English iso, why would you use the utf8 language package ?

Anyway, to be sure everything is in order regarding files and folders and also the code TP adds to the SMF files.
Read and follow the manuall install instructions.
