After upgrade of SMF 1.1.4 to 1.1.6, TP does not work.

Hi. I upgraded SMF 1.1.4 to 1.1.6 by the book, using the upgrade option.
I did not uninstall TP 0983 as I read that it will not be touched by the upgrade and it is compatible with the new SMF version.

After the upgrade I see no installed packages, including TP.
There are options to list documents and delete only and TP is not functioning.

Right now the only option seems to be deleting even though I have so much work done for it's setup. Is there any way to recover before that?

Any ideas?

Alas!
I just saw an error at the far bottom of the page that I was missing!

Related Error messages: Fatal error: Call to undefined function tportal_version() in /xxxx/xxx/Sources/Load.php(1726) : eval()'d code on line 522

Reset your forum to SMF Default theme, Always Defaults when you are working on the site no matter what work you do.
When you have all defaults, reinstall TP through the package manager

yameth

All changes/upgrades have been made when all settings were in default state.Including theme.
I will reinstall TP on top of the previous installation (manually since there is no option in the packages) as per your above instructions.
Thanks

Ok I saw in http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php/topic,25916.msg207320.html#msg207320 the incompatibility issues of TP with SMF 1.1.6.
So it seems I am in the middle of it.
I must say there are no clear warnings on the download section concerning SMF version compatibility.
Is there any development on the issue since September?

If you look in the install board, IchBin have posted up a TP package ( TP V098) that will work with SMF1.1.6
Use that package when you install through the package manager

IchBin

Also would like to note, that any time you skip a version of SMF like you did fromk 1.1.4 to 1.1.6, using the upgrade package to do this will remove all mods in your forum. Updating your forum from the package manager from one version to another like 1.1.5 to 1.1.6 will not touch the mods for the most part.

Thanks IchBin. I wish I knew that earlier.

It is kind of a big mess trying to retrieve valid information, especially when one does not follow on a daily basis the developments.
In my case, where I have one forum running, I install... it works... and then forget about it until it's time for upgrades. But then (like now) it's difficult to pick up the thread from a start... I wish things were a little clearer and on specific locations. e.g. on a F.A.Q.

Anyway I solved my issue by reinstalling everything... It's a bit of a drag to have to redo all specific setups for each mod from scratch again. And this concerns the SMF platform... not very clean and pro in my opinion, but a great forum.
