I am more of a FireFox3 fan over v2.  The only thing is that v3 is much heavier in the source code than it was in v2 because of all the updates and addons to the version.

I used an old version of FF on my desktop which I haven't been using much lately.  A couple of weeks ago I installed the latest FF release (3.0.4) and have been using it a lot.  However there does seem to be one problem that's driving me crazy and I don't know if I set something wrong in it or what.

When I go to my SMF/TP Forum it logs me automatically into the Forum as Admin.  When I try to logout it looks like it's going to log me out, but when the page comes back up I'm still logged in as Admin.  This keeps me from using any of the other accounts I have setup on my Forum for testing,, etc. in FF.  I can login and logout normally with IE7.

Has anybody else installed this release of FF and had the same problem?

I already posted a message this morning on the FF Forum but nobody has responded yet.  FWIW, I get a similar, but different problem.  When I try to login to a phpBB Forum with my account in this version of FF, it won't log me in.  This is driving me crazy too because it means that I must use IE to get into that Forum.

I don't have any issues with that version of FF on several computers using different OS's. You try clearing all your personal information? Tools menu > clear private data

Hi Ichbin,

I was going to try that but I went to the FF Forum and asked about it first.  It's now fixed and here's what the FF Tech told me to do, in case anybody is interested, or ever has this problem ...

Thanks for responding,

UPDATE: :

FF2 is history for me, I updated To FF3 beta today and it's faster for me..it got to where using FF2 I Couldn't even load  my smf Theme site Profile bcuz it would freeze up totally ... so I did the update I now my smf theme site profile using FF3 loads as fast as Safari and Camino which is lightning fast & ( it's a huge page ..lol), before updating I made sure I had all my bookmarks moved to Flock..so alls good now. ;)

The only regret I have about upgrading to FF3 is that Firebug still hasn't been updated to work with it.. So I'm back using Webdeveloper. The one for Chrome is naff.

Oh.. and anybody have any idea why when I use Google, I'm redirected to pages other than those I select from a search.. sometimes it's ebay, sometimes it's another search engine. It's driving me nuts, I think it's spyware, or some trojan.

[edit] It's not specific to FF either, Chrome does it too.

It works on mine bro, actually better ----
