Okay... I've tried once again, this time dropping all the tables in phpMyAdmin and deleting all the files.  I'm still getting this same error after I click Apply Mod and it asks for my FTP info:

Fatal error: packageinstall(): Failed opening required '/hsphere/local/home/bigsimon/simonproject.com/Packages/temp/./tp_install.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /hsphere/local/home/bigsimon/simonproject.com/Sources/Packages.php on line 534

Any more suggestions?

Yes that is exactly what I mean. If you can do that, then make all the images for TP 777 if you will. It denies me access everytime I try to do it.

Well before i even posted this matter i already modded all of the new files to 777, so i don't get why they are not showing up.

Would you do me a favor and run the repair_settings.php file from the SMF forums?

I am trying tp out and for some reason anything i add to the front page i can not see.. i have added a shoutbox, html and a admin box and nothing appears on the front page... any reason why?

ramapoughnative

I have tried a fresh install of smf 1.1 rc2 and I can't get tp to work with either package or manual install. I haven't seen anything pertaining to TP on the admin screen. I've tried installing a few different themes thru theme install and manually with chmod 777 and not getting the whole theme to install. Anyone have any ideas? This is my first install of TP. Thanks!

SleePy, are you seeing any sidebars? Are you using a theme that is compatible with TP? Have you set the proper permissions on your block?

ramapoughnative, what are your errors when installing?

SleePy

im using the default theme but one of those modified colors to change the colors to black..
I can see the side bars and stuff. it all shows just nothing on my frontpage.

heres 2 pics
the first shows me logged in and what i see on the index
the second shows the admin page and shows i got stuff in the frontpage

SleePy, can u try logging out and see if u can observe the missing side bars?

I had something similar but can't see both side bars when I login to a specific membership type. Thus far I have not find a solution.

Went awsome, I first updated from SMF 1.05 to 1.1 RC2 (which removed the old portal) then I removed the old Helios theme, then updated the TinyPortal from v.0.7.5 to v0.8.6 then applied the new helios theme, all went with no problems, love the new features....

Thanks a million! ;D

Just one question will there be an option for the 'Metal Bars' to be removed in the TP_helios_multi11_rc2 theme? :(

well with some experimenting with settings i found out if you go to Settings -> Frontpage
change "What to show on frontpage:" to "Frontpage Blocks" it will show the blocks... why can't i do both the blocks and articles?

--Edit--
Never mind i think i got it all the way i want it now. but one thing. in the url link like

"the Bloc Zone > Forum > Tiny Portal > TinyPortal Beta Support >"

is there a way to just make it say

"the Bloc Zone > Tiny Portal > TinyPortal Beta Support >"

and have "the Bloc Zone" go to the link "Forum" goes to?

I wanted to offer my thanks, Bloc, for all your countless hours of hard work. I will hammer away on the portal, forums, and updated themes and report any issues that I see. But so far looks like an impressive launch! Installed and seems to be working flawlessly (on initial inspection at least...)

BTW: I worked for a couple years as a QA for ColdFusion code, so my bug*hunting skills may come in handy!  :knuppel2:
