It sounds like your settings.php file are out of order and the forum dont know the paths

Go in your forum rootfolder and take a look at the settings.php file and see to that it shows the right way in the paths.
Your page url, forum url, SQL url.

No, its the fact that you run "install.php" and not "manual_tp_install.php". That file is supposed to be executed by the package manager, not stand-alone.It assume a connection to mysql is already present, thats why you get the error.

If you can't use the package manager, you need to use the "manual_tp_install.php" but beware that ONLY installs the mysql tables. You still need to upload the actual TP files, and modify 4-5 SMF files.

i actually got an issue with the new Helios Multi Theme (TP) for RC2. Firstly i assume it runs in 1.0.6.
The problem is i can't customize it. anwyhere from adding a logo, to dabbing around with the index template or the style CSS sheet... i get an error >
The file you are trying to edit... can't even be found!

If i try switching the default color of helios, to another one from brown it simply 'reboots' back to the default skin. i tried uploading the files and installing from the server dir, which is the way i have always done it. So this time around, i also tried installing it from the zip file witht the browse option and i get the same errors on both instances.

i realize the error is exclusively a skin problem, but they it started turning after i upgraded, so i was wondering if anybody else had some experience fishing out these issues...

Are you sure that you have the correct Theme for your version of SMF ?

If you are running SMF 1.0.6 you need to have the themes from this downloadsection.

The Danger

That's what happened to me. I had an old Cerberus, I had to switch to Babylon to get the TP to show, then get the TP-Ready Cerberus

hey wait... so the theme for 1.0.6 does not have the new look for RC2 implemented? i just realized it looks exactly like the old one ???

G6Cad

I dont know how the SMF 1.0.6 look like, im using the rc2 my.selfe, but it could be right that rc2 stand with new looks by itselfe.

Glad it worked out anyway  :)

Just installed TP and everything's running smooth. 8)

Just one minor problem: I'm using SMF 1.0.5. and the SMF 1.0.5/6 themes seem to be missing a few images that are used in the new TP, and the RC2 themes aren't saving when users select them as a new theme... in other words the theme switches back to default after the users log out. :(

Any help? ???

P.S.- Love it, though. Great job, Bloc. ;D
