You need to go through the manual install instructions and make sure all the code has been modified and added. Make sure all the files have been uploaded, and possibly run the manual_tp_install.php file again.

The tp portal version generates because you didnt do what i have said twice allready.
you MUST use the default CORE theme, not your custom theme when you install and uninstall things to your forum..

i did that man! still! heck..i am not able to do it. Would you please please please do it for me???? I may end up doing something disastrous! ..Please?

G6Cad

What you can do is to create a test site, all clean SMF 1.1.5 and then install a clean copy of TP on that. Then you add the other mods you have one by one until you have a complete replica of your main site.
When you have everytning working on the testsite you simply download the files to your local PC, and then upload and replace the files on your main site.
Just remember that you need to remove the settings.php and settings_bak.php from the testsite files so they dont overwrite your main site settings file.

And leave the custom themes out of the testsite totally, keep it all defaults.
You say you HAVE the default core as your sites default, how come that everytime i have clicked your site link, i see a dark blue and black theme ?
Make sure you have the default Core theme set as default inside the themes and layout settings and not your profile.

nitishthelegendkiller

that is because, when i do the mods and stuff, only for that time i change the theme otherwise, i have that blue black theme.

See, now i don't want that 1.0.5, i just want my .0.98 back.Any simple way to do that? without making a new test site?

G6Cad

Simpliest way is to restore from backups before the upgrade.
Hopefully you have made backups of both the database and the files.
If not, you can ask your host if they have backups and if they do, ask them to restore your site for you.

nitishthelegendkiller

sorry to say, but neither me and my host made any backup.Any way to remove the TP files manually? and then install that 0.9.8 again?

G6Cad

With out backup of the DB it's not possible.
It's one of the most iportant things we point to in every release we have. ALWAYS do backups before changing things.
The files can be changed back, but the DB changes cannot be set back once you have upgraded it  :-\

nitishthelegendkiller

ok, then any way to get that 1.0.5 working without making use of previous backups? can you do it for me if i give you the passes because i know this is annoying you know and you can do it in 1 minute!

Dragooon
