Didn't see it before, but you are missing some code.
This code:

okay have that replaced and fixed.  My next question:  because I installed TP manually, does that mean I would have to manually go through all the template files sep for different themes?  Or, now that my permissions and CHMOD working finally, can I just use the packae installer?  advice?

You will have to add all the code manually to the files required for TP.
Read the mod instruction in the DOCs and follow the steps

hrmmm.  I think i can manage that.  Another question, kinda stupid, but needs asked so I know.  Could these files already be premade instead of copy and paste for an hour?  Or is that something that is not possible?   Just curious.  Thanks

Its possible, but not legal. SMF doesn't allow distribution of their code. So we would be breaking the law. And of course, we wouldn't want to do that with SMF as we love it so much.

I had premade files for download here before, but it was against the SMF rules so we had to remove them.
