Admin > Download Manager > Edit each category to not allow guests to access them.

Next, create a block (left/right/center) and then add the guest view download block code snippet to it. You can find that code in the block code snippets board.

Yes, but if some registred user give to someone a direct link to download, that guest can download that file .

You really need to start using the search.

The htaccess file prevent your members to "hotlink" to any downloadfile you have.
You dont need to change or edit anything.
