I have a problem of install TP.

Background:

  • Fedora C6 with LAMP.
  • Not knowing how to configure vsftp for using ftp to chmod

Problem: Can't get TP installed.

Question: Is there a way kowing the files names that need to chmod and I will do it manually, as I did for installing SMF?

Please help me out on this and I am a bit behind my schedule.

Thank you in advance.

have you tried to make all files and folders writable through the package manager/option ?

If yes, you can see what files you need to change manually in the doc section, the same files that needs to be changed during the install are the same that TP change during the install.

I tried, but it bring me to ftp stuff. I recall that when installing SMF, it shows a list of files that need to chmod. Once I did chmod to the list of files, the installation went through. I kind of feel this is the same situation. Could you list these files name that I will try to manually chmod?

BTW I just found that you have made this:

Do you have a similar version for TP0.9.7.1?

Thank you and please keep helping me.

You mentioned 2. English default language ONLY! Can I later change the language setting after manual install?

Thank you.

Jimmy

G6Cad

Yes, but you need the language package for your language (if there is one made)

But the install have to be with all settings to Default (Core theme and Language set to English)

Thank you G6.

Do you mind to ask admin people to open a board for Chinese support in here?

I'd like to find out what are needed to finish this translation and I think I can finish the job. (BTW. What is TP0.9.8?)

then link is for the language files for the next release of TP.
But we dont know when we can release it, cause we kind of lost it in here somewhere  :o

I can place a question or point to this thread about your request for a chinese support, but dont keep your hopes up to high, cause i think you are about the only one i know and have seen that have asked for it  :D

wjhsmf

Thank you G6.

0.9.7 chinese language file, the one I was looking for and found this, is not there while you have 0.9.8 file (partially done?).

Bloc updated the files that were there in our downloadsection, some were as old as TP V.095 i think, so thats the reason there is files called what you just saw there.
If you can, feel free to update the strings that Block added in them, they are in English, so you will see where you have to continue the translation.
