That would be the route I would take if it doesn't install right. Without looking at the server logs to see if anything else is happening I usually just go straight to a manual install.

well I wanted to learn so here i go.  have to research that one.  do I need to uninstall what I have now

after I extract the zip folder what section do I upload all these files to.

IchBin

You extract them just as they are. So if you see a Sources and Themes folder you'll upload them as if they're going in those same folders that are in your site.

i called myself doing this  I carefully followed the direction and when i got to the part about pointing my browser to  the db manual install.  it gave me a 404 error directory not found .  so then I tried to go to my test site and it could not be found.  so I cleared everything out and will try again tomorrow when my head is clear.  I have been working on this for way too long.  Thanks  everyone for the help.

Point it to manual_tp_install_0971.php instead and you will have a go.

I will update the post with this ASAP

Hmm...Tp is working now. But i try install new themes but there isnt any pic. Only texts but no anykinda pic.

IchBin

Are you using the theme manager to install and NOT package manager?

Lateksi

Im at adminpanel >> Configuration >> Themes and Layout

Ok so you are saying G6 that where i was pointing my browser was not right ?  Is that the part you updated today?  And by the way thanks for everyone who helps out here.  I have learned more from this site than any other one out there.
