Here goes...

I've got a site running the SMF 1.1.2 with the TP 0.9.71 and it's working great.  It has no mods or alterations in any of the coding for the SMF or TP.

I've got some time today, so I thought I'd try another theme, i.e., the multi-helios.

Do I need a TP multi-helios, a SMF multi-helios only, or both.  If both in what order do I apply them?

I am currently using the SMF default theme on the site...boring.

I need to make some changes in the SMF default theme afterward to set up some menu items at page top, but I plan to wait until I have the new themes applied.

Pssst...forgot to mention I plan to intall a couple of mods from SMF, the ads manager, etc.  Should I install them prior to the Bloc theme?

Yes, you need to ONLY use TP converted themes to your site now.
If you look in the download section you will find what themes to use with your setup.
You install all mods to the DEFAULT SMF, not any other theme what so ever. All the other themes you need to manually add the code from the mods.

In the downloads section there are two types of theme files...

TP THemes    =  does this mean use this theme only when TP is installed?

SMF Themes  =  does this mean use this theme only when TP is NOT installed?

Currently, I have SMF default theme installed and then I just installed the TP.  My theme is all SMF default.

SO... The TP application file actually includes the SMF Default TP theme?

You must think I'm a dumb butt, but I really want to make sure I'm getting my thinking straight.  I appreciate you and G6 patience.

No problem! We all start some where. I'm just glad to see that you figured that out. :)

I am probably just as stupid, but I can only find the Helios Multi (helios_multi11final.zip) and no Helios multi TP ?
When I install it on my SMF 1.1.2 TP 0.9.7 TP i see the SMF theme without my tiny protal side bars. If i select my old not supported Helios Multi TP for RC3 it works but am missing several icons (which is probably normal since it is not supported).
If I install the Mirage Tp theme it works fine, so I feel I have the wrong Helios Multi....
Any suggestions from the pros ?

Hi,
excuse me for butting in, but having just gone over the possibilities myself I think I can safely answer that not all themes are available for TP. The number is much smaller. once you find something close to what you want you might have to modify it for your needs.

kind regards

PS...... you will probably have to delete helios before you can install any of the tp themes too

I did that. Cleared all but the default and then installed the helios. No luck, just SMF no prortal sections visible.  On the default it works, but I want to keep the same theme as before the upgrade. Lucky I did it on a test copy first.
