Download the attachment, install through your package manager.

Make sure your forum is set to use SMF DEFAULT theme (the white and blue that you see the first time you installed SMF)

But the there comes this: Table 'smf.smf_tp_settings' doesn't exist

That error indicate that you havent got TP installed to your forum.
Please provide us with more info.

What SMF version ?
What theme do you have as your forum Default ?
Other mods installed ?

That package should work just fine and install with out errors if you installed it through the package manager.

Update your language files perhaps 

Check if there is a language package in the download section
Extract and upload the language files to your /forum/themes/default/languages/ here you place the EXTRACTED files
