Actually you don't have to disable the blocks before you upgrade. The problem was that you had some SSI code in the blocks which was changed when you updated. So the SSI code was trying to call home and nobody was there. I disabled your leftpanel in the index.template.php and then was able to access your admin panel. This is a good lessson for you in that, you should LEAVE BLOCKS SET TO OFF while in the admin section. :) This way you'll always be able to access your admin section if a block goes crazy on you.

Good idea IchBin, i will disable block while in the admin section.
Thank you for the tip ;)

If you use custom language (your own) you need to add the language files in /themes/default/language/ add YOUR language files here (if they are avaliable in the downloadsection, dont know what language you use)

Look in the dowloadsection if you can find it there.
If not, you have to rename download the english language pack and rename them so they have the same name as the others in your language, that will bring the strings but in english

Jpg

Maybe your current theme has it's own language file that is replacing the default theme's language file.

Fresh install of SMF 1.1.2
Fresh install of TP

No themes installed except what came w/SMF 1.1.2 as of this post

G6Cad

Did you install the forum with utf-8 language ?
If so, you need to download the utf-8 language package for TP from the downloadsection. extract the file on your local macjine and then upload the files to /themes/Default/Languages/ "add the files here"

Thanks G6!

Thank link was the one I needed to correct this for now. :D

I am trying to install TP for the first time onto SMF 1.1.2, and get the 'Test Failed' message for the default/index.php. I haven't been able to find anything in this thread for completely new installations. I have tried installing both the TP_0983 and the TP_0971 packages and get the same message. Or am I looking in the wrong place? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Please ignore last message, TP has installed anyway..   ::)
