G6 needs a laptop

simply_sinnsual, could you post more information on that laptop? I'm not sure G6 is going to be able to respond in a reasonable amount of time considering she doesn't have access to the Net very much.

Yes, of course. I believe it's the Lattitude, but I'll need to double check when I get home to be sure. It's the same as the laptop that I purchased from him a few months back and is suitable for any application. It's not a dinosaur by any means. I have mine setup on a wireless network and have XP loaded. Anyway, I work until 8 tonight, but will either leave the specs here tonight or tomorrow.

Okay, the laptop is a Dell Lattitude CPx - 500 MHz PIII machine, with a 20GB hard drive (he upgraded it from 10GB) and the factory says 128 MB of RAM, but my friend also thinks he had that upgraded to 512. I just spoke to him and he still has it. He lives about 5 hours from me, but I'll be seeing him Wednesday night so just let me know.

Does it have to be a laptop? A desktop pc would probably be much more affordable and better suited in terms of specs in comparison.
