SQL Disk Usage

Well, I got it back now.  There was a back-up done about 2 days ago.  I lost some posts but who cares.  I got most of them back.  Woooweeee.

Also, I found another table on the server and deleted it.  Back down to a respectable 60mb.  I'll go through it again just to make sure nothing new is in there.

60Mb is still way too high. One of my sites is about the same as yours, but the database in far, far smaller.

yeah, sounds big still... Try to use the admin section and clear "unimportant logs" for example. And of course the error logs.

I have cleared the error logs out and have cleared out all of the old Mambo tables on the database. 

I am currently at 73mb.  I can't find anything else in there.

Is the messages table the biggest? Looking at the tables in phpmyadmin will reveal any bigger ones..and normally xxx_messages is the largest.

Also..if any backups are laying around on the server, that will push it up by the 10ths of mb.

Seems that your total is much lower that what it was. 3.8Mb

The Mambo files them selves will use up a load of disc space. Have you deleted them all? Mambo can be a real b*tch to get rid of. Took me a long time to get the files off my server.

This is his database we're talking about gerrymo. It appears your DB is not 70+ megs after all. Are you seeing the size report through CPanel? You have more than one DB?

I think there is a mix up between th Db and Disc usage. I'm sure there are files on the server that shouldnt be there. I had the same a few years ago. Turned out to be a "Catch All" e-mail addy that the host hadnt told me about, with 100Mb of spam in it. Once the e-mail account was closed; problem solved.

I really dont think WSA means the database, think it may be server disc usage.
