Latest Update:
Uploaded SMF 1.1RC3 - Installed TP0.96 through package manager

Then, I clicked refresh and this is what I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tp_loadtheme() in /home/globalav/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php on line 1114

I really hope I haven't messed something up irreversibly...

Dont worry all errors can be resolved

here is a case similar to urs - try the suggestions there 1 by 1

Ok, I tried searching the TPortalAdmin.php file on lines 1225 and 1226 but that code does not appear.

I cannot do a whole DB reinstall or a fresh reinstall of SMF because I have downloads and images I MUST save that are on the website and cannot be deleted.  On a side note, im trying to reupload the files but for some reason Filezilla is uploading 1 file @ a time, every 5 seconds or so, so its very, very slow.

Sorry everyone, I'm just really lost.

Hang in there niblem, sometimes it is only a single file that is messed up. And if your FTP program is working that slow, it is possible a dropped packet messed a file up.

Do you have a file manager tab on your web-host control panel you could use? or a server FTP program? or just thw windows access for FTP?

G6Cad

This is the FTP Program i use most of the time (FileZilla)
Download the version of it that suits your PC specification (32 bit or 64 bit) and install, add the correct FTP url,  login and password :)

Update:
Got all the correct files uploaded.  Forums were working perfect w/o TP 0.96 installed.

After installation of TP via the package manager, I received the same message:
QuoteFatal error: Call to undefined function: tp_loadtheme() in /home/globalav/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php on line 1114

I read that other post also, and don't seem to have much luck.  I looked into my TPortalAdmin.php and I don't even have the part of the code the suggest changing.

What theme are you using and what theme did you hve as default when you installed TP ?
The error usually comes when you have the wrong theme installed for the setup you have

niblem

I use the default theme actually, which is why I am worried.

I have deleted both the classic and babylon themes from my directory.

Right now, I have SMF 1.1RC3 installed with TP installed, but showing that error.  No clue where to go from here.

G6Cad

If i was at my home i would have been able to help you, but i cant do much at all through this remote admin im on from the hospital here  :-\  Hopefully some one else from the team can help you with the install.

niblem

No problem G6, you've helped me in the past and I know your situation.  I'm just worried about my members of the forums not having access.

Do you think I should re-upload manual TP and then edit the files the recommend, then run manual_tp?
