hi,

here's the story, i have 2 smf installation in their own database. the first is in /smf folder (the first and running forum ) it was an upgrade from 1.08 to rc3 and the second is in the root folder with rc3 clean installation, and at phpmyadmin i export the database from my first forum(the running forum) and then import it at my root smf installation and after that i install tp with manual installation(the precoded file also) it says that tp installation success, and need to be restart and then the index page comes out blank.i access index.php n got nothing. but thats not the problem cause i can uninstall that second smf installation.
my problem is that somehow the failed tp installation affect my running forum in the /smf folder.i got this error message
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tportal_version() in /home/forumgri/public_html/smf/Sources/Load.php(1702) : eval()'d code on line 448

at the footer page. the forum still working fine.it's just that i need to remove this annoying message.
need help.
and another thing is, i manage to do a second smf+tp clean installation with success, how can i restore the database from my running forum to my new smf+tp forum ?

thanks.

How do you have the permissionset for the index.php file ? and the other files to for that matter ?

Whant you can try is to download the repair_settings.php from simplemachines downloadsection /tools and upload that to your forum root and point your browser to the file, it will set the paths correct to the DB and the forum

i haven't change anything after the installation. as i check the permission for index.php is 644, the folders is set to 777 and the sources folder is 755. what is the recommended permission set ?

i've downloaded and run the file, it seems that i'm using the default path, haven't change anything.i had save the settings, delete the file but i still got the annoying error message.
this is my running forum http://www.forumgriya.com/smf/index.php (as u see i'm in the process of building here) and i manage to do clean install tp+rc3 in here http://www.forumgriya.com/portal/index.php but i can't import the database from my running forum...it will show blank page  :(
