Why do I get this?

2: copy(/home/hudd92/public_html/forums/Themes/default/images/divider.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: /home/hudd92/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs-Package.php
Line: 961

why? because it can...............................only messing what you need to do is chmod the smf directory to 777

yeppers, most of the time when you see the words failed to open stream: Permission denied it's a chmod problem.

Well, I played with different directories and got it working.

It could also be a path issue.

check to make sure the file divider.gif is there and that permissions on upper level dirs have 'x' priv's.

I know many who chmod all SMF files to 777 - which is OK for testing/debugging ... but (in my humble opinion) somewhat questionable in production environments.

It would be okay for certain people, but not on the majority of shared hosts. 777 is misunderstood as allowing the 'world' to modify your files. in reality, that 'world' is your Apache server, not the entire world.

I would have reservations on changing everything to 777, because you might not change all of them back correctly. There are quite a few files.
