Hi all:

Hope you can help me on how to modify the appaerance of our articles.

Right now, each article has 3 blocks. The next screenshot shows only 2 (the 3th is the image of the article and link in the forum)

Ok, I wanna modify the next:

  • Erase the date in the first block:

  • Move this text (the user who published the article) to the first block:

  • Delete this text (the global name for all articles):

  • Move the complete date to the first block:

  • Don't show the options Views and Rate the articles:

That's all  :D

Thanks!!

You can only do these changes if you use the custom display option for articles. This allows you to choose what is displayed in the article. But I'm not sure it's as finely tuned as you are asking. If you can't achieve it with the custom template option, you'll have to modify the code to make it do what you want.

Thanks IchBin.

Please, tell me where the custom display option is, I don't find it. If it doesn't work, how the code could be modified?.

The answer to this depends on where you want to change the appearance of the articles.  There are two possible answers, either you want to change the appearance of the articles on [1] the FrontPage, or [2] on their own article page.  Which one is it?

Sorry but I don't know the difference between them.

The idea is all articles are published in https://foros.puntotorrent.com/index.php have the modifications I mentioned on first post.

The difference is that you can use one layout type for the article when you create it by going to TP Admin and clicking "Categories".  Once you are in "Categories", you can click the category that your articles are in and set the layout type for the article.  Here is an article on a test site that I have --> http://www.jpr62.com/hide/index.php/page,pumpkin.html

That article uses the "Picture + Article" layout type.  However, you can have a different layout type for articles that you choose to show on your FrontPage.  Here is the FrontPage of that site and it shows the article but, if you look closely, the layout is different on the FrontPage than it is for the article. --> http://www.jpr62.com/hide/index.php

The FrontPage layout type is set to "Normal article".

Now, if you want to design your own special layout type, you can "Use custom template".  Below that, there is a textbox containing the code for the default custom layout but you can change this as you see fit.  It may take some experimenting, but it's fairly intuitive for the most part and easy to change since it is html.  For instance, {article_shortdate} is different than {article_date}.  See the attached image below.

At last I found out where to change the settings for our articles, Settings and Frontage.

Right now we're using "Normal Article" and wanna change some things as I said, is it possible to know the HTML code that this option uses?.

It's no longer necessary the HTML code for "Normal Article" option, we're using "Use Custrom Template" right now. The only thing I'd need is how to change the colors in the article.

Located the index.css where to change colors  O0

Thanks!
