articles related question

OF course we start off with  it concerns the attic forum since the others behave as they should---no shock there...lol

When writing an article I go through all its little sections and tic or untic what I want to show, activate it...I then go to its preview and see that although the category and article both have to the side, bottom and top bocks to show, they do not show. No problem for the ones tat "need" to be full page but why does this work in the other forums---same set up --- and not this one.

The other thing is that when I have two articles to show on the front page they do not. I see one of them and have had to place the other article inside a block to have it shown  under the featured one. So if I have a featured article and a regular article the featured will show and nothing at the bottom.

Might it be a mod conflict of some sort, I do have loads of them.

I can live with it that way but just curious.
