My left panel has gone missing

I was going to add the revolvermap to a block in my left panel and then I noticed that my left panel was not there.  I added the revolvermap thinking maybe it would all show up, but no such luck so deleted the revolvermap.

The left panel had been working, but I don't know when it disappeared.  I checked all the settings and permissions and they seem to be okay.  I tried the core theme, the default theme and a couple of other themes and none show any of the blocks in the left panel.

I have a test site here:  http://www.hamshack.net63.net/SMF where the left panel does show.

Well, your test site seems to be offline but I see the left panel on your main site as a Guest with no problems.  It looks like you have a menu block on top, then a block called "SARC Meetings" and finally a user block.

By any chance, in TP General Settings, do you have "Admin can see all blocks?" set to NO or "Use language visibility option for blocks?" set to YES?  Both of these can affect whether blocks are visible, especially the first one.  Also, you are using TinyPortal 1.0 RC4 which is not the latest version.

Thanks for the reply.  My Admin can see all blocks is set to YES and my use language visibility is set to NO.  When I logout and become a guest I still can't see the left panel and when I log in under as a regular member I can't see it either.  I did log in using my Galaxy Tablet and I can see the left panel.  How weird is that?

I downloaded the latest release of TP.  How do I install it?  Do I just do a regular install or is there an update mode
that I should use?

Problem solved.  My bad.  there is a row of - - - - that lets you collapse the various panels and it turns out I had my left panel collapsed.

Aha, yeah each of those uses the TPupshrink.gif and, if a panel is collapsed, it will look like instead and uses the TPupshrink2.gif.

If you hover your mouse over each , it will give you a tooltip to see which of the panels are visible that you can collapse.
