shoutbox disappeared and errors

branched this into a thread of its own cause quite long:

I was getting the error:

8: Undefined index: allow_admin
File: /Sources/TPSubs.php

but fixed it with info from the shoutbox permissions problem...seems to have cleared the error but then my shoutbox totally disappeared.

was at wits end cause the shoutbox was showing (in fact after the update I ended up with 2 shoutboxes one on left and the one at the top so I deleted the left block

found out that the members or anyone only me could post a shout, so I went to admin to clear shouts and that went well I thought...nope the shout box is now gone totally.

I have even recreated it (in an upper block) several times now and it only shows the title bar with nothing else.

I did the fix but still got the error message in error log, I even reupped- loaded each and every tp file to server hoping that would do the trick-nope

it is with green dot in modules/blocks (set for all to see) but it will not show up in forum except for the title bar

I finally got it to come home again by uninstalling every mod I have including totally removing TP then reinstalling TP from version Beta 4 all the way to RC2

seems when it got updated that one line that needed fixing took away the privie to members of posting and only allowed me, no other admin or member just me. did the fix then cleared the shouts ad found no shoutbox at all.  Right now i am waiting to  see if anyone comes online and tries to shout to see if they can shout yet.

I am getting these errors though in the log:

That should fix the errors you are seeing. Let me know if you still have any problems after that.

worked like a charm, thanks once more with my naughty site...the others except for one more did not give off those error and they use a different shoutbox too...lol

I usually transpose numbers and letters but when talking sometimes the words come out transposed too and talk about weird looks...comical

well i spoke too soon but the members ended up not being able to post again---am waiting to see if they can do it now that I did this to both the files found in tp_files and defautl template cause I did not know which one to do it to...lol

In TPShout.template.php file find this line:
else if(allowedTo('tp_can_shout'))

Replace with:
else

yay they can post again---at least the global mod tried it just now so hopefully the regular members can too
