I have made the same error of upgrading to SMF 2.0RC5 and forgot to turn off the tiny portal package. When I go to to package manager I see tiny portal and click on list files and the first line says Files in archive TinyPortal10rc1.zip:

Before I go ahead with a reinstall I am pretty sure there is a simple solution to my stupidity and many may follow without disabling packages.

My site is www.runningtrades.com. Thank you.

darlene,

I'm not sure that I understand your question, especially when you say that you "forgot to turn off the tiny portal package".  I am splitting your post out to a new topic since the topic you posted in was solved.  I looked at your site and it looks like TinyPortal is not installed.  Could you please explain exactly what it is you are trying to do.

Thanks for your response.

I upgraded SMF to the latest version today. I have read that when you install new versions of SMF you should uninstall the 3rd party packages while doing the upgrade and then select reinstall once the upgrade is done.

I did not do that and downloaded the new smf and ftp'd it on the site. It now says I have the new version but when I go to the packages, tiny portal does not have the option of install, uninstall, delete, it just says list files, or delete. All the files used seems to be listed but it says
QuoteFiles in archive TinyPortal10rc1.zip
.

I do not know if I have to reinstall tiny portal or if there is a way to reactivate it, as I have customized it with a lot of downloads etc.? I really don't want to loose what I have done, if I reinstall will my downloads etc. still be there, or do I have to start again?

Remove the package that is currently uploaded in your SMF. Grab the latest package from this site or the SMF site as it contains the install code for RC5. Which is why you don't see the install link currently. :)

Thank you so much for this, I uninstalled and got the new version and voila, up and running just like before, didn't skip a beat.

Thank you.

Fantastic. O0 Your site looks great, nice and simple with a touch of class.  That Crip theme looks great there too.  You've done a great job.

Topic marked solved. O0
