Related Error messages: Error message here

TPShout is only working for admins at the moment, i dont know what has happen, i dont have any error either from it. Have no clue on what to give you. maybe a admin test account?

IchBin

Does that mean others can see, but can't post? Or that others can see and post, but get an error? Can you explain in any more details?

Kimmen

Not really, i logged in with this users account, he is in staff account btw, ive check permission in block, its set so he can see it. I check persission in tinyportal, so he can moderate it also. When i login with his account, i see the shoutbox and all messages. I try to type 'test' then i post it, site reloads, but shout is not posted, no errors nada.

IchBin

Feel free to PM me an account to look at this with if you'd like. Also, take a look at the server error_log since the smf error log isn't showing anything.

Kimmen

IchBin

Thanks. I don't see the error right off. Sorry for the horrible memory, but aren't you the one I shared the updated shout files with? Maybe I have introduced a bug that only allows admins to post. I'll take a look at the code and get back to you.

IchBin

Yep, looks like I screwed it up again. Sorry about that. I'll work on the fix today and give you the updated files.

Kimmen

Allright, thanks alot  ;)

IchBin

Actually, you can just change this code I think.
TPShout.template.php
else if(allowedTo('tp_can_shout'))
Change to this:
else

That check that I added does not exist, that's why it doesn't let anyone else shout. :) It's good you reported these, other wise the shoutbox would have been messed up. :) Sorry for the trouble.

Kimmen

That fix it IchBin. Thanks alot for looking into this issue, was wondering why it was not working anymore for other users.
