I am having this issue, and I cannot find the fix for it anymore.

I found it once, but its nowhere to be found now.... I ahve searched every forum related to SMF an TP, but no luck. I remember its a simple fix, so any help is appreciated.

Everytime someone types a word with an apostrophe in it, it adds a \.

Example;

It's turns into It\'s

How do I fix this

It did this on our last site (we recently changed hosts and so I reinstalled SMF, TP, everything. I found the code I needed ot change last time, but I can't find it again. This problem persists with every client that connects no matter what browser.

As far as I know, there has not been a fix found for this yet... I have been waiting for a few weeks to hear back on this, but still nothing.

That does look like what I read before and used to fix it, however I cannot find AJAXchat.php anywhere on my server....

It was the fact that you said you had changed hosts,

I wondered if it was something it mentioned in the second link,

"This bug appears to occur when PHP's magic_quotes_gpc is set to off in your server configuration."

Maybe this need to be set to ON, on your server.

I have a ticket in with my hosting provider with that exact request.

If they decide to NOT turn it on, then there's got to be a fix, right?
