Install on smf 2.0 RC4

smf 2.0 RC4 fresh install and reinstall TP 1.0 RC1

On installing TP on upgrade smf 2.0 RC4 frontpage has left side of title blocks missing as in the attached screenshot. other smf pages are ok this only effects the home page.

Did you by chance go in to the TP control panel and reset up your blocks to appear on the front page? and check you permission settings also for those blocks, ( who may view them) another thing to consider, I have heard () not stating facts) of several bugs in the RC4 so I would myself hold off upgrading or installing the RC4 until it's been in use for at least a month or so. Unless you have a test or demo site set up for testing purposes.

I don't think that any of the Team has upgraded any of their test sites and we certainly haven't done it here on this site yet.  We probably won't until Bloc has a chance to see if any edits are needed and/or gives us the green light.

However, I would be interested in seeing the FrontPage of your site so that we can let Bloc know.  Could you give us a link, or you can PM it to me if you want.

It appears that there is an issue with SMF 2.0 RC4 when using windowbg in the panel settings.  This is one of the reasons why Bloc will need to take a look to see what needs to be edited to make TP work properly with RC4.  As a temporary measure, I have changed the left and right panels to use "catbg+windowbg2" instead of "catbg+windowbg" as you had it.  This is probably a CSS issue and, as I said, it's something that Bloc will have to look at.  I didn't change the panels in the center.  This is probably also why the "Users Logged on Today" Mod title bar looks the same way since it also hasn't been edited for RC4, though I'd be interested in knowing how you got that to show up on the FrontPage.  It's supposed to only show in the Info Center on the Forum BoardIndex.

OK, the Title Bar options for panels is something that will have to be edited by Bloc.  For now, anyone trying to install the latest TP (RC1) on SMF 2.0 RC4 should choose one of the panel options that doesn't use windowbg until Bloc has taken a look at it.

Rafferty, on the other issue with the "Users Online Today" block, the title bar for that block is built into the code.  Since this code requires that the Users Online Today SMF Mod be installed, this issue won't be fixed until the author of that Mod has edited it for SMF 2.0 RC4.  This is quite likely because that Mod uses windowbg as well, so it's probably the same issue (see attached image below).

For now, I'll mark this topic solved since we've basically fixed the error on your site.
