Hi all, great to see this site.  I just did an install with SMF 2.0 RC3 and the latest release of TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5-2.  No other mods, or custom themes.

I'm getting the following error and no display of the forum. Unable to load the 'tp_above' template.  I've searched for an answer to this but haven't been able to find one.  Any ideas where I went wrong on the install.  All tests were successful before install.

Thanks

Just went through the manual install and all the additions were complete.  :-X

Yes I can see the top smf header and the normal menu buttons along with a button to TP amin.  however there is no content below except the 'Unable to load the 'tp_above' template.

Sorry I forgot to include the url http://www.starcadplans.net/test_forum/index.php

starcad,

For some reason, your install didn't seem to make it all the way through.  Extract the TP zipfile to a temp folder on your hard drive, open up your FTP client, and then upload all the files in both the common and SMF2RC2 folder to the appropriate locations on your site.  Make sure that, when uploading the files, they overwrite any that are already there.

If that doesn't fix it, then you may have to go through a manual install.  If that is the case, LMK and I will tell you what you need to do.

YEAH! Zarprime, I got it.  Just took me some time to realize what I was doing wrong.  Thanks for you help as you pointed me in the right direction of thought.

We can mark this on closed. But, if anyone needs help please feel free to ask.

OK, well Ken went ahead and marked the topic solved but, out of curiosity, what did you do to fix it?  It might help some others who are having the same issue. O0

Zedge

I'm having this same issue and would really appreciate any help or advice that can be given :)
