I know this isn't an option within TP settings.... but is there any way i can do this?

Right now on my site, every article i do i have 5 boxes displayed on each article. Every time i create a new article i always have to go into each one of these blocks and tick the new article i have just created to get that bloc to appear on that article.

sooner or later, i will be getting my members  to submit articles and it will be come a pain if i will have to do this every time a new article is written

So is there any way i can add the feature myself or do it another way?

I'm TP B 5-1 & RC3

thanks

SN,

First of all, upgrade to TP 1.0 beta 5.2 some time.  There are a lot of fixes from beta 5-1.

If I am getting what you are trying to do, when a new article is added, you want the 5 blocks to be shown on that article automatically without you having to do it manually.  Am I right?

I don't believe that there is any way to do this at the present time because when a new article is added, it is populated into the area of the block edit screen unchecked by default but you might ask Bloc over in the SMF TP Mod Topic.  However, there is a way around this but I've never tried it.  If all the new articles that are created are in the same article category, you should be able to set those 5 blocks to show in that category, rather than individual articles.  That way, when a new article is created in that category, the 5 blocks should all be there.

I haven't tried this so LMK if that works.

Yeah you are right ZP. I was thinking something along the lines of an extra tick box on display settings  saying "display on all articles" i don't know how possible it is.

I would upgrade to b5.2.. but im getting alot of errors in my error log with it on my test site.

Mainly this one when i view board index.
