Open all absolute links in new window

Is it possible to have all absolute urls open in a new window? I have a rss news feed in one of my blocks, but when one of the links is clicked it opens in the same window (thus taking folks away from my site) Because it is a news feed I cannot get to the html urls to add target="_blank"

I tried to add <base target="_blank"> inside the head, but this sends EVERY url to a new window!

All the relative urls should open in the same window of course, just the absolute ones in a new window. Does this make sense? Is it possible?

If the RSS feed dont have opne self or new window to the text it fetch, there isent much we can do here. Contact the site you get the feed from and ask them to give you help with this.
