New install: what to expect

When I install this what happens?
Are there any changes visible to SMF?  I am not talking about admin control options but what the users see.
Can I install this and then bring features into the SMF site at my convenience on an as needed basis?
Any tips to prepare SMF before install (besides backing up the data) No mods this will be the first.

Have you looked at any tinyportal sites? What about read the Docs? All of your questions can be answered by reading our Docs (link in the menu at the top) about all the features and possibilites with TP. If you want to know what it can do, the best thing you can do is install a test site and explore.

Ahh the test site: No test site.
I am curious after I install it does it change the look or feel of the SMF software right out of the box?
I see the features and have read some of the documentation I just donââ,¬â,,¢t want to install it and have to be committed to doing a bunch of work.  I would like to install it and add features slowly: like a front page.  But I donââ,¬â,,¢t want to have to do something just because I installed it.

Welcome to TinyPortal.

Yes, you can start out small.  In fact, you can turn off all of the default blocks and set your Front Page to go straight to the Forum and it will look just like a Forum without TinyPortal installed.  TinyPortal can grow as you learn more.  You can use as many or as few of the features as you desire from the very beginning and when you are ready to make your site shine, TinyPortal will let you make it look however you want it to.  It is limited only by your imagination.
