I've still got mine up.  One of my members made it past the FP and into the Forum to post a message asking if the site was hacked.  Very humorous.

I had an admin on my site think so too, she checked out net disaster and ran a virus scan, thought my site was hacked ...well I guess that means it was a successful April Fools

No doubt.  I've taken mine down now and advised the poster that the attack was thwarted and the unknown aliens were destroyed.  I also mentioned that hopefully our action will keep them from regrouping to mount another attack, at least for a year or so.

There is a nulled(free, illegal) version of cometchat floating around on the internet if you can find it that installs on SMF 2.0. I must warn you, cometchat is very buggy and will burn your server. If your on shared hosting, your host may suspend your account.

There is also Skysa, which is free and don't burn up your server or bandwidth. Intergradetion topic by yours truly at SMF. http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=359795.0

Another new alternative is arrowchat which looks promising. There are 2 others free in which I can't remember the names of them ATM.
