How to install and set up TP v1.0 beta 4 in SMF 1.1.11?

Hi guys

i am new in SMF world . Never had to deal with Forums but hey theres always a first time   :laugh:

I installed Tp beta 4 through package manager but when i go at home page www.mysite.com i dont see the boards. Theres only the sidebars on both sides. When i click the logo it directs it to this link and it works properly. www.mysite.com/index.php?action=forum

I just installed TP thats all i did nothing more nothing less and i saw these changes.
I dont see any settings for this mod. Im guessing there should be options to customize TP but i dont see anything in my panel.when i browse packages  It just says
1.     TinyPortal      1.083                                [ Uninstall ]  [ List Files ]  [ Delete ]

i go to options nothing to configure ...

Is there any tutorial for proper set up? what do i do to fix this issue ?

I installed as they say on Doc but no difference. when i go at the Home page forum tabs are disappeared the middle of the site is empty blank unless i go here because normal link forumidentar.com wont work.

So have you looked at your frontpage settings and set what you want to show on the frontpage? Thats why there's nothing on your frontpage most likely. If you read the Docs on the frontpage settings, you'll see that there are several ways to display things.

i couldnt see any options of TP because i had my SMF in ALbanian not English. Now that i changed it to English i see the frontpage and fixet the the front page.
By changing it to ENglish i cant change it to ALbanian again.
I checked for TP language packages in ALbanian and there was nothing. SMF does. How do i fix the language and make TP work in ALbanian?
I cant add a forum button as well coz in TP document topic about this button there are numerous lines to change but none of them tells you what is what and what do they change ..

it seems like when i go to  admin/serer settings/Default Forum Language and change it to ALbanian erything looks fine except the TP sidebar in the admin panel.. It shows nothing no option no links nothing just the TPshout

Yes, that would be most likely because TP is not translated to Albanian that I know of. You'll need to take the english files and translate them if you'd like it in your language. As or the forum button, we have a guide that you can use that will help you. Mind you, this is only for the default theme, but you can just copy the code in your theme's button to do the same thing.

Things that need to be changed are on this lines if you use notepad++

713 ===> added the word forum (in_array($context['current_action'], array('forum'
767 ===>on // Show the [help] button. i changed the help with forum and it changed the color of two buttons from orange to blue so i didnt touch it i left it the way it was
775===> // How about the [forum] button? i couldnt change it either coz it changed the button colors

The code if($settings['TPortal_front_type']!='boardindex') i couldnt add it anywhere coz it showed me an error and i couldn't  access the site at all.

Now with just changing line 713 it directs you to the forum when you click on search..
Other then that it will mess the whote theme

I will attach the file here and hopefully you can give me an idea coz im going crazy with this thing

The guide shows you how to make a button OR a tab. The code you posted with TPortal_front_type is for the button. I'm assuming you want another tab in your menu, so I've added the change to the file.
