Landing Page?

After logging in my site automatically takes you to the action=forum page but I want it to take me to action=recenttopics just wondering where I need to change the settings for this?

Asked over at SMF but they said its a TP issue... am using..

Bec,

Maybe another Team Member has heard of that action but I'm not aware of an "action=recenttopics" unless this is an action that's been added by some other Mod you use.  By chance, are you referring to "action=unread"?  If so, I would go back to SMF and edit your question to change it to that.  We can tell you how to redirect to the TP FrontPage upon login but to redirect to the "action=unread" page is indeed something you should ask at SMF.

asked over at smf and their response was that it was not normal for smf to have action=forum as the landing page so referred me here as they assumed it had something to do with tp..

even if I could just get the landing page to go to my home page I would be happy with that. The action=forum page is something i dont want my members seeing as I have changed the design of the site.

Not knowing anything about the Mod, I would have to direct you to the Mod creator to answer the question for you as to whether the landing page upon login could be changed to that action.

And they are correct.  Though the "?action=forum" appears to work on an SMF forum without TP installed, what is actually happening is that the "?action=forum" part of the .../index.php"?action=forum" is ignored so that you are taken directly to .../index.php

With that being said, you might now understand why there is an "?action=forum" when working with TP.  since the standard login on a Forum is to take you to the Forum index, TinyPortal doesn't currently change that by default.  However, there is a feature request in to make the option available to allow a member to be redirected directly to the TP FrontPage upon login (instead of the Forum index).  Bloc has given us the information we need as to what must be edited to allow this to happen but it's not yet a part of TP.  If you would like to see how to do that, have a look at this post ...
