I am trying to add a memorial to my father on a site he created. I would like to add a HTML block of code that will only appear under the Memorial section of the site. (SEE IMAGE) Not sure how go go about this. Any ideas (or work arounds) will be greatly appreciated.

sburke930

That is very simple.

When you create the block, go to the bottom of that block and click [show], then under pages to show block, choose the section you want it availbale for viewing.  Save the changes and you should be good to go.

Also, make sure you have the block enabled.

I was aware of this method of allowing a block to appear but as I have recently figured out this feature dosent seem to work under the theme I was using on the board.
Theme = FSPS
If I change it back to TechTheme it works fine..

SMF 1.1.10
TinyPortal v0.9.8
TechHead TP shows the HTML center block (and any other)
FSPS dosent show any center block

Does the FSPS show any blocks at all? I don't know that theme by memory, is it a Fussilet theme or someone elses? It sounds to me like the theme doesn't have the code in the index.template.php for TP 0.9.8 to show those blocks.

Thats because TechHead is prepared for TP0.9.8, but FSPS probably is not.

In TP v1.0 this was changed, so all themes work and do not require preparation for TP(other than a "forum" button)

EDIT: Ichbin beat me to it lol. :)

So just to clairfy, TinyPortal v1.0 beta 4, works with TechHead TP and SMF 1.10? How stable is it, in your opinion? Maby Ill just run the upgrade..

IchBin

I think it's pretty stable. There are significant changes since then though. So you might want to try it in a test install and see if you want to use it. :)
