Blocks won't show on Side Panels.

In the front page, I am trying to configure menus to display on blocks on the left and right panels. Somehow, blocks with menus only show up in the Front Panel, but not in any other panels!...

Sometimes, even blocks like "Stats" won't show on the side panels either.

Any clues?? Is it possible I messed up some configuration of pannels or blocks?

Thanks!

We really need you to read and follow the Posting Guidelines.html. There are different answers to your question, depending on what your setup is.

I read the posting guidelines as you sugested. Not only do they seem more or less to go without saying, as I don't see how it would have improved my post that much:

* I did a Forum search with unsuccessful results before posting.
* My issue is TP related a lot more than SMF related.
* I tried to use a propper subject: It can't be more specific than that.
* Considering I believed this is a post install generic subject, I think this was in the right section.
* Most of the other guidelines don't even apply to my post, but other than that:

If this is merely a matter of defining what my setup is, here is my setup:

Forum Version: SMF 1.1.10

Do I really need to include all this in every post I make? About the link to my website, I might have reasons not to post it publicly... But I will gladly provide it through PM, if it's regarded as necessary for specific support. I just don't want it publicly exposed, if possible.

Thank you.

Yes, thank you.

If you want answers to questions about your site, yes. You can't expect us to memorize which version of SMF and TP, as well as all the installed mods for everyone who comes to this site. We really cannot answer most questions unless we know that stuff. There are several versions available for download even now and some folks have chosen not to upgrade from the earlier versions they installed. There are quite a few differences between the versions, so the answers to questions will often be different, depending on the version.

That's fine. Should it become necessary to have access to your site in order to help you with your issues, someone will ask for a link via PM. Most people don't mind, but if you do, it's okay to say so.

Now that we have that out of the way, you need to make sure that your panels are turned on. Go to Admin > TinyPortal > Panels and Blocks > Panels and go down the list for each panel. The first line of each section is whether or not to use that panel, with radio buttons for On and Off. Check to be sure that each of the panels you want to have on are actually on. Only the front panel does not have that option.

Yes, I understand what you say and will try to always post my configuration in every message.

I have double checked it and all my panels are on. In fact, Other blocks that I added earlier to those panels, are visible. Only new blocks that I try to add don't show. So I am trying to figure out if I messed up some setting along the way...

Oh, and blocks status are actived and "on".

JPDeni

And you have set where the blocks should appear in the block definition screen?

(Please understand that we have to go through all the obvious things first before getting into the more esoteric solutions. :) )

Artimedia

(I was writing at the same time you were, lol...) I finally spotted the problem!

It was the hidden section: "Choose where the block should appear. [Show] [Hide]" at the bottom of the Block Edit section. All  boxes were unchecked, so blocks were being set not to display anywhere... ::)

Thanks for your help and you may consider this isue resolved. you may close the topic.
