I've always had a chronic problem when I use the "insert/edit link" icon to paste urls into html boxes and articles. I paste the url, use preview and it turned into javascript:void(0);/*1250959740255*/.

I can get the url to stick if I either: (1) repaste it two or three times, or (2) switch to source and paste into the code.

Is there something I can do to be able to paste the first time?

Thanks.
Sarah

I don't really understand what the problem seems to be.  Could you explain it a little better, perhaps with a screenshot showing where it is you are trying to do the pasting?

Sure, here's a screenshot. I had clicked the link icon, pasted in a url and clicked OK. But this is what stays in the url box, until I repeat several times. Then it keeps the url.

Also you have an old version of TP that are full of bugs, i suggest you to update TP and go from there.

Oh, I see what you are talking about now.  I have to admit that even I still have one site that uses TP 1.0 beta 1, but the link editor in the FCKEditor is something I never used.  I usually just write my code in an external editor and then post the code in manually.  At this point, it is hardly worth the effort to try to troubleshoot this function of beta 1 because the FCKEditor has been replaced in the newer versions of TinyPortal and the old editor is no longer supported.

I would seriously consider G6's suggestion to uninstall beta 1 and go with beta 4, or perhaps even hold off for a little while longer and go with TP 1.0 beta 5 when it comes out.  Failing that, an external editor, something like Kompozer, would be your best bet at this point.
