Username italicized in users online.

Why? Just curious, there's (I believe) only one user who's name is italicized in the user's online block.

Because that person has de-selected Show others your online status? in their profiles. For most people who come to your forum, the name won't appear at all. Since you are an admin, you see their name in italics.
