Problem while installing TinyPortal on SMF 1.1.10

Hello guys,
I started today to upgrade my forum from the SMF 1.1.4 version to 1.1.10 ( a big upgrade, isn't it?). So after all, the forum worked perfectly and I wanted to install TinyPortal on it.

I uploaded the package Tinyportal v0.98 and then I pressed the link "Apply mod". The problem is the message that comes out, "The package that you try to install, is either damaged or non compatible with the installed version of SMF".

This is strange, because in my localhost, this feature worked.

Are there any ideas what might be?

The 098 package havent been updated for the newset version of SMF. Thats why you get that error.
You can however extract the package on your local computer and add the new smf version number to the XML file and then zip the package again

Actually, the TP 0.9.8 package was updated some time ago to allow any version of SMF 1.1.x. If the package isn't working, you are either trying to upload an old package, or something else is wrong with your permissions. If you are using an old package, download it again and try to install.

I finally managed to install it manually. But know, the problem is that there isn't a menu for configuring the portal in the admin area.

I' ve tried that already. The problem is that even with the english language (because my default is Greek) didn't work. I am attaching two screenshots of the forum. The first one is the frontpage and the second the admin panel

If you don't see a menu in your admin panel, it is because you didn't make the edits to the Subs.php of SMF where TinyPortal adds its menu code to it. You should run through the manual install file edits to make sure you have done them all, and that they are done properly.

Well, yesterday I finished the upgrade of my forum, with TP working perfect.

The problem was a very stupid one... Tiny Portal, by default, gives permission only to administrator to configure it. But I installed all the modifications (including TP) from a Global Moderator account. So, that was the reason why I couldn't see the portal.
