install problem

tried tp 1.083 and 0.983

both give me the same thing

tried installing while using default theme
same results
when i install after the warning its way messed up.

uh yeah i saw your post (that exact one) elsewhere and am trying to figure it out.

so first things first. if im going to do a manual install the instructions say download the package you want. i see only 0.98 with manual install next to it. do i need that one or will any work?

Any package will work on SMF1.1.9 and the mod instructions are posted in the doc here if you use the TP V1.

cant their be an edited index.php? for someone who doesnt have the knowledge you do, that just looks like a nightmare (to me anyway) my forum was hacked. ive spent "the last 10-11 days trying to figure things out" had to hire some help to rebuild and clean i get to the last part and its like a whole new can of worms. im feeling pretty beat up over this stuff. i looked at the link you sent and had to hold back from throwing this thing out the dang window!
sorry im just frustrated as heck with this stuff.

Nope, sorry to say it, but SMF wont allow us to have premade files as it is violation their copyrights for their files.  

But if that error you posted are the ONLY error, go ahead and install the package anyway, and then just add in ( check ) the code for that file only, no need to go through every file and edit

1. install anyway even if giving me the error (id really like to upgrade to tp v1 ive had 0.98 4ever)
2. then change temp? if i change the Themes/default/index.template.php will i have to also change it for the other themes i am using? im gonna guess yes
