Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is well. Has been a while since I have been around and woohoo we have a new upgrade!

So got a question.. I am trying to upgrade from beta 3 to beta 4 and in the package manager when trying to apply it these are the options I get... but I am wondering is this it or should there be more (or are the other options missing cause I still have the beta3 one installed).....

1.    Extract Tree    ./Themes
2.    Extract Tree    ./Sources
3.    Extract Tree    ./tp-downloads
4.    Extract Tree    ./tp-images
5.    Extract Tree    ./tp-files
6.    Execute Modification    ./Sources/Post.php    Test successful
7.    Execute Code    tp_install.php

And once I hit install now for the above, do I need to uninstall or delete the previous version?

Thats what i get too when i keep Beta 3 installed. Hope its fine because currently i dont wanna wait for the proper 1.1.9 edits in installation.

I have a feeling its cause its an upgrade rather than a fresh install but just wanna make sure.

I just went from beta 3 to beta 4 - got the same info as you when installing, and it seems to be fine!

You shoudl have no issues. That is the same information I got before upgrading several sites. Remember to do it from the default theme to be safe.

Thanks guys, just hit upgrade and everything appears to have gone ok... just wondering though got these 2 errors in my error log... they anything to be worrying about?

Delete those errors and see if they re-appear in the log..

Just delete the older one..I always do.
I have become comfortably numb!

thanks :)

deleted and all good now.

so no uninstall just a straight delete?

I did the upgrade and didn't get any error messages during the install.  After I hit upgrade via the package manager, I am still on beta 3 version 1.083.

Any ideas on what I should do?  Everything seems to be working?  Nothing in my error log.

Roinrow, thougt you of all members should know about permission issues by now, you have had them for a long time hahaha

You need to extract the package on your local pc, then upload and overwrite the old files, most likly they were not replaced and only the db got updated.

So check that out and if you need more help, start your own topic so you dont hijack this any more.
