I ran a search through the forums and did not see anyone else with this problem, so I think I am just not doing something or doing something stupid.

Just put up another new SMF site, and installed TP and everything is running fantastic.  But whenever I try to create a new membergroup and switch a member to the new membergroup as their primary, the entire TinyPortal interface vanishes for them only.

I am really feeling stupid today.  I can not find where to turn on the pSpell option too.  This is what I get for waiting a year since building my last SMF site.

Feel free to laugh and me...  :2funny:

By "vanishes" do you mane all the blocks disappear?

I am betting that you have setup your blocks to not be visible to the new group, thus when you change the user to the group they don't see the blocks.

Try editing a few blocks verifying that the "new" group has access to the blocks.

Also please Please read the Posting Guidelines.html and provide the info so we know which version of what and a link are available for us to help.

Also:   Spell check:  Admin --> Post and Topics --> Post Settings

Currently, you have to go back and edit every single block and article category and enable the group permissions for each group who you want to have access.

Hopefully in the next release, Bloc will include my suggestion of "inheriting" permissions, in the same way that boards can, based off other groups.

For now, it's best to create all the groups first.. Seriously. It's a royal pain in the rear adding new groups 2 years down the line.

That was it!

Glad I caught it now and you had the answers.  I have a few new member groups ro create first.

Thank you all!
